I liked this article because I thought it was kind of different. American Idol uses voting and customer interaction to keep the show so popular. With people voting and wanting to stay in control of the standings, it keeps the viewers/customers coming back and trying to get their friends and family involved to help support the performers that they like.
Asos brand is an online e-commerce store that focuses on the top trends in the market. Their sales are mostly generated online and through there catalogs which have since converted to magazine. I feel like Asos has a great engagement marketing because they really look out for their customers. With monthly giveaways and discounts, it allows customers too feel like they are saving while spending.
Starbucks is a brand that uses engagement marketing succesfully. At Starbucks the relationship is key not the marketing. Starbucks is known for less traditional marketing and more on giving texture to the brand. The company is very active on social media sites such as; Facebook, Twitter, Youtube ect... Starbucks launches fun campaigns for customers to be a part in such as the Starbucks Love Project, Love Drawing and many more. Starbucks focuses their marketing strategy through connecting with their customers and giving them the best Starbucks experience.
Reebok is a great description of engagement marketing because they give people a way to interact with the company by being able to customize sneakers and make them their own. For example you can go on the website choose a shoe and design it as far as the color, style wether it be high or low top, the fabric, and even being able to add your name to it as well.
The Converse build your own brand allows consumers to build and create their own shoes. This is a great example of engangement marketing. Consumers feel more connected to the brand and value the product more.
